    Cute, I have a kit with pattern very similar to yours that I bought while on a cruise to Alaska. It was so much fun seeing the otters on the cruise!

    Really, really cute. That otter is really engaging. You are right, it is so much fun to do this kind of work whether it is from a pattern or your own design. I like the patterns as I am no artist. I like your idea of the thread painting and additional quilting. It makes it your own!

    I found I also really like this technique. I can do all the cutting and fusing while sitting in the living room watching TV with the family. Thanks for all the kind comments.
