Quiltncrazy, The fabric did get here! My neighbor had it and said that it was delivered that Monday when the tracking says it was delivered the Monday before. Either way, I'm glad I got it. :) I had notified the seller and they were in the process of trying to recreate my order in anticipation of me notifying them that I hadn't received it. Good thing I got it since she said that they didn't have enough left to fill all of my order.

I'll get to the dahlia and I vow to have the top done this year.

oh, I'm so happy for you. I kind of wondered if neighbor might have gotten it, and she sounds a bit forgetful/distracted.
seventeen yards is a lot of fabric. I probably would have had a stroke.
So, dahlia quilt, will eventually get center stage again. I'm not brave enough to try one of those yet, but I have some yummy colors in mind, if/when, I do. thanks for letting us know, Pam. :D

It really wasn't too hard to do with the Marti Michel templates. They were pricey but I think worth it. I especially like that there are little holes along the edges to make a mark for aligning the pieces. Take two pieces, align and pin the two edges, then stick a pin through the dot on each fabric to line them up. When sewing the long curved sections together you just align the seams and the dots along that edge. The curve is very slight so it's not as hard as doing circles.

was wondering, now that you have the accu cut thingy, does it cut off the 'ears' too? I know I am going to love this Marti Michell stuff, and thinking, can I make it work with other patterns. I might get spoiled, by having stuff line up, just right, and not be able to do other ppl's patterns.

I haven't used it yet but a quick test just did basic squares. I don't believe that it cuts off the ears.
