I can only "guess" that it is a lace like trim treatment, but heavy stuff like you would find on heavy drapery. She used a few other trims just the inside of the binding, and around one or two of the borders.

I'm only guessing mind you as there was no "write up" on any of the quilts. Perhaps we'll find out in the next issue of the AQS magazine.

Wouldn't it be funny if she had actually done that? What a beautiful quilt but I doubt that I will ever (or would want to!) do one even remotely like it.
