    Painted Shoe - my version

Just finished this yesterday for my DIL birthday today. Did FMQ on my Bernina - far less than perfect but it should hold it all together. The scalloped edge was my first but I learned a lot doing it.

I love it! The black polka-dot sashing is perfect.
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

I'm making one of these quilts too. Will post a pic when it's finished. For those interested the shoes were originally painted by a member of this board. She then had the fabric printed from her paintings. You can find the original here

they are printed from originals done by Jeannie Smith of Bethlehem GA. She has the fabric panel available on her website. http://paintedquilts.wordpress.com/f...s-shoe-samples
Don't know if this link will work but that is where you can find the fabric panel.
