I love your hexagons and personally think they would be perfect in a hexagon star quilt.
Usually a OBW has a softer flow from one block to the other and the geometric lines in your blocks would cut off that flow. That's why I think them a better suit for a hexagon star quilt. But then, that's my humble opinion. As they say, 'To each his own."
Please, don't think I'm knocking it. Whatever you do will look lovely, I'm sure.
