Thanks everyone! I think this is a wonderful quilt even if it wasn't made by my family member it is such an interesting amount of fabrics from yesteryear to look at.

I don't know if anyone noticed but it was machine quilted all over in a 1 inch grid. Yikes! I guess that is why it lasted so long. The only trouble with it is the bias binding is showing wear and will eventually have to be replaced. I suppose I should try and find some suitable red fabric against that day.

It was fun showing you. Thanks for being so kind about this humble family quilt.

What a wonderful quilt to have that was your Papaw,s and dad's.It has been well loved and cared for over the years .The colors are wonderful and love the pattern.

I love that background fabric ;) The backing is a great color too. Maybe your brother gave it back to you because he thought it would mean more to you because you are a quilter. Anyway, so wonderful that you have it.
