Your quilt is lovely. I know the Alzheimer's plague. I have an 85 year old "Aunt of my Heart" (not blood) who is in long-term care right now. Sometimes, the things she says are "out yonder" somewhere! At least, at the current time she's not in the "mean" stage. I see her at the very least once a week. I was going every day at one point in time, but I'm still working full time and that got to be a little much!

Your labor of love is reflected in this wonderful quilt. WWII was a difficult time in our history and my thanks to him for his sacrifice in order for us to enjoy the freedoms we take so much for granted each day. I also have a grandson that is serving in the Army stateside at this moment, but we never know how long he will be on American soil. I am sadden your father has to endure such a nasty disease in his golden years. The quilt is perfect even though you think the miter corner is wonky. My thoughts go with you.
