O no hand quilting for me I have a Gracce GMQ Pro frame to help me make the process speedy as can be. I was wondering what color to use as my top thread and a friend mentioned Gold, so I am using Gold as my top thread. The backing is white and I will use white bobbin thread. I was going to go with invisable thread but I did a test with the gold and it gave it sheen that I loved, so gold it is. Its about halfway quilted now. I had to do some running today so I did not get to work on it but thats ok tomarrow is another day. It looks grand on the frame.

Today I had to do some shopping and I went into the fabric department at Wal Mart, seems they are raising prices, did not get any fabric, I need to use some of what I have first but did get some more invisable thread for $1.20 a spool. So I got all they had.

I like the fabrics you used and the pattern.......the predominance of white
gives it a flag waving airy look . I like it :D

Wow that's some quilt. Well done you and good luck with the quilting. Have you anyone in mind to give it to or are you keeping it?

I dont have anything or anyone in mind for it just yet. It will go into my pile so I will have it for a Christmas gift or to sell if someone wants to pay me for it. It is coming along pretty well, but we moved my frame and now its kinda jerky so I have spend some serious quilting time working on getting it back level.

O yes, it is halfway quilted now. I had a bump in the road with my frame but have it all fixed now. Will be working on it over the next fews days to finish it and make another one!

I had a problem with the binding, this is the largest quilt I have ever done, but I used gold thread to quilt with, white in my bobbin and I like that part! The binding is the only thing I dont like about it.
