Default "Peaceful Abyss"

Even though this Triptych quilt is still pinned to my design board, it is essentially done. All that is left for me to do is add hot fix crystals to the water. I started this 3 panel quilt last summer, so it has been a long time in the making. Just piecing the diamond background was rather time consuming. But worth it in the end, because I like the impressionist feel that the background lends to it. This is my own design ... no pattern. Though I do need to give some credit to my friend Kathy, who is also a member of this board. She suggested some of the cool embellishments, not the least of which is the hook being swallowed by one of the Big Mouth Bass and the pearls inside the oyster shells. Pure fun, I love "playing" with this type of art quilt. It measures 28" X 70". I am entering this piece into a local quilt show this Summer.

Wow, that quilt is so alive. So much movement and color. It takes a while to see it all. I think you had fun!
