Oh my goodness--I haven't seen this post in days and what joy to look now!! :D

I just love seeing the color choices!! Brazen--yours is a scrappy--right? You are just working with random red and blues? It's awesome.

PatriceJ--it that a triple?? It looks amazing.

I love the red and white--how it looks mottled from a distance.

    Ladybugs--adorable!

Lucky--both yours and your mom's are lovely! She cut those all out by hand? I like your border idea!

And that dark one folded between the others--it's striking!

    I love seeing all these!

Yep!! It's all scrappy!! All from my stash too, nothing new purchased for it. And I'm using one white tone-on-tone... got to have a bit of consistancy, right? :)

    Thank you!!
After Christmas, I'll finish it up!

PatriceJ--is that an actual pattern or did you add to a triple? You're so darn brave. :D

Thank you for posting the pics of the gorgeous turquoise quilt. Those colors are to die for. So restful. Is there a name for this technique? (except "curves, of course) You did a terrific job. Those seams must have been so tricky.

it's my own design. the original idea was to do a quadruple or quintuple. i couldn't find instructions anywhere for anything more than a triple. so i did some research, trying to verify the difference between single, double, and triple irish chains. once i figured it out, i picked out the fabrics. as always, i ended up going overboard - all the way to septuple. (i am my own worst enemy. )

Here is a bigger pic of my avatar. I used the Eleanor Burns book. Gave this to my college roommate for a wedding present.
