Great Idea!! I went to do this after reading about it on the other thread and the vinyl I have is iron on vinyl so in the moment to solve my problem I used parchemnt paper taped down real well. Same result but a temporary fix as it is starting to tear. So upon showing my DH and explaning what the supreme slider is he said...No problem I can get you a piece of silicone...so I'm going to get slidy by hook or by crook. Thanks for being the impitus to get me FMQ'ing.

OMG, great job. I made a table cloth out of the black and white fabric and put it over a white crocheted tablecloth.

First of all, I must mention that gorgeous quilt!! so eye catching!!
I bought a slider at MaryJo's in NC, and it did indeed slide..well, at least the corners (which I rounded) pulled up. It's really too small (I bought a small piece for around $14). I like your idea better and will purchase the clear heavy gauge vinyl at my next trip to Joanne's. Thanks so much for the tip...and now, back to the sewing room..really, I need to stop reading...it's a sewing day!!

It can slide even better if sprayed with a little Silicone Spray: This stuff is great for slicking up your machine bed and sewing table. ... Sprayway is one brand and it is a dry spray and will not leave residue on your fabric. Some people also use a little furniture polish but I would think you would have to wipe it off before laying your fabric down on top of it. Ann in Tn

A heavy duty clear shower curtain works too. Love your quilt. I am just learning to do FMQ.
