I had not head of the Schlep bag so I had to look it up - very cool. I teach others to sew and this would be a great one to teach as well.

Awesome! It looks like your class was a success!

What a wonderful group of ladies, looks like they had lots of fun making the bags. Love the quilts in the back ground. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

Isn't it wonderful to see newbies make something like a Schlep Bag and get so excited about sewing. I taught the same thing last night and also did a demo on the Tubular quilt. Keep on teaching, we need more sewers!

This is a wonderful thing you did - and for them to go home with a finished project is awesome. Now they can put their next project into the shlep bag and bring it to your next class!

What is a tubular quilt? Is there a tutorial on that here in the board? LOL, nevermind that last, I'm going to go look for myself. Always learning here, always, always!!!

Thanks for all the great comments...it's really encouraging to me.

I have the 2nd day this Saturday and we will start with the D9P block on 36x48 children's quilts. All the ladies are so excited to learn.

I wish there was classes like this in the UK as people know quilting is not that big over here which makes me kinda sad.
I did learn my quilting skills whilst in NY USA and loved it and 8 years later i am still quilting .
