This is a quilt a person ordered for her daughter, and then boght a horse instead.

How inconsiderate of her to do that to you. Consolation is that you have a beautiful quilt that someone else will be thrilled and happy to own one day.

Did she even offer to pay partially for it?
Next time you know to collect at lease cost of materials up front!

Beautiful quilt! I would still ask her to at least pay for the materials you have in it. Does she not realise how much fabric, thread, needles,... and your time cost? You are now the PROUD owner of this BEAUTIFUL quilt!!
