Amazing quilt! I'd like to know how you got the pattern. I would like to make one. I know it takes lots of patience.

What a sweet story, and you did a most wonderful job on your dad's portrait. Your mom will be "over the moon" when you give it to her.

What a fantastic gift with a tremendous story to go with it. I, too, was in tears. Such a labor of love for both your father and mother, and a great heirloom for generations to come.

What a tribute of love everlasting! You captured this likeness totally. I wish while I was reading your post that I was part of this family. Your mom must be taken aback and know she is much loved by you. Thanks for sharing the humbling tribute to love.

The completed size is about 75in X 95in . I found a free pixel quilt tutorial on Craftsy https://www.craftsy.com/class/pictures-to-pixel-quilts/ and just took it from there.

I'll bet your mother was so touched by this beautiful quilt. I'm sure some tears were shed. I was getting teary eyed as I read your story. Such a lovely tribute to a loving couple.
