    Hi ...thank you everyone for your input..
    I love reading all the ideas you brilliant minded quilters are sending my way.
    I purchased two colors of thread to audition on a practice quilt sandwich. One is light blue and another barely there blue/green.
    I have to be remember that baby quilts don't feel as soft if I quilt it to death! I am watching my 7mo grand daughter for 4 days and won't get to quilt for a while. My sewing room is where she sleeps...Thanks goodness the baby quilt is not due until June.

    I used your ideas of simple waves all over and water spouting over the blow holes. Many thanks!

    It looks adorable and very comfy! It looks just right. Makes one want to just snuggle up with the whales too. Thank you for sharing it.

    I like the idea of waves around the whales, and water coming out of their blow-holes. Would also quilt ON the whales the flippers (even if not authentic) and a seam on the tail fluke.
