Default Princess in a Vortex! (Baby quilt)

My friend is expecting her first grand baby in December. I wanted to make her a quilt that she could grow with. I'm happy with how this one turned out. It's my first time doing prairie points. I quilted it with pebbles in the center, then some meandering with vines and leaves. It was also my first time using variegated thread. I named it princess in a vortex as a nod to Princess Leia. Her room is going to be done in Star Wars theme so I'm going to oblige by putting an applique of Princess Leia on the label.
I saw this quilt on Pinterest and just kinda copied it to my liking.

I expect that baby will still have it and take it to college - it's wonderful!

Nice quilt! The bright spots just bring it to life and the Prairie Points add a wonderful touch. Love the name you've given it; a wonderful way to tie it to the theme the parents have chosen. It will be a beautiful bit of color in the new princess's room.
