Absolutely beautiful! Love! Love! Love everything about this quilt! I get a different look every time I look at it! Gotta make one and its gotta be scrappy! You’ve inspired me! What size are your strips please?

cashs_mom 01-17-2019 07:57 PM

I just love scrappy quilts and yours is beautiful!

I like the cut out corners also. You are correct it's his quilt so go with it. I was making a quilt and my husband expressed definite ideas on the rights and wrongs at every aspect of the quilt. When it was finally completed, I handed it to him and said it's yours. He was delighted. Life sometimes gets in the way of what WE think it should go. 10 years is just a flash in the pan. It got done and that's all that matters.

Nice distribution of colors in the scraps

Great scrappy log cabin...with a lot of colorful fabrics. Congratulations on getting it almost done.

Great log cabin. I love the red border and the scrappy piano key border. Worth waiting for.

I really like your entire quilt. If 12 years is what it took to get it to this point, then I am glad you didn't rush it. I really really like what you did with the border. I have never thought of doing this. I am definitely going to use this concept for a quilt for my bed (when I get around to making one for me). Thanks for sharing!

Oh, I'm so inspired by your quilt! I love scrappies, but prefer them to fit more into the category of "controlled chaos." I'm off to assess my scraps. I know what my next scrap buster will be!

Your quilt is so great! Totally worth the wait, in my opinion at least.:p
