LMBO...exactly what I thought when I saw it Chris!!

Thanks everyone...my oldest daughter, mom and I had a BALL bargain shopping. Theresa Marie (oldest daughter) is coming over Monday afternoon, she'll help me CUT out patterns for my granddaughter and her little sisters, but, and I quote..."You can't MAKE me learn to sew". We'll show her though muwahahahahahahahaha.

My oldest nephew just stopped by, he found Jasmine and Alicia matching working first sewing machines (battery operated). He couldn't wait to bring them over to them...so I'm sure they'll make use of some of garage sale finds too. I think Barbie's are in for brand new summer wardrobes LOL.

jbsstrawberry 05-02-2009 12:56 PM

OHHHH!! I almost forgot to tell you...IF only I had the room...one of the gals at the second garage sale was selling a Handi-Quilter (I looked em up on the internet...they t'aint cheap) for ....ready ....$100!!! And one of those pvc pop together hand quilting frames, new in the box for $20. I sooooo need a sewing room LOL. BUT!! I am VERY happy with what I have!!

sewjoyce 05-02-2009 01:09 PM

WOW girl, you did GOOD!!

Darlene 05-02-2009 01:38 PM

I saw some fabric I have and 1 book. Did this all come from 1 house? What a steal.

Ducky 05-02-2009 03:11 PM

Wow, you made a killing, Luv! I had to look at your pictures real close a couple of times to study what you got. I go to yard sales and never see anything like this. Good for you! So, are you going to make teddy bears with the fur? You could do like BlueChicken and make it the backing of some throw quilts!

Jim's Gem 05-02-2009 04:31 PM

You really scored!!! Hope you have fun with all that stuff!!!

Marcia 05-02-2009 05:00 PM

Wow! Lisa, you hit the mother lode, girl!! I love the old blocks and $3 apiece would have been an awesome price!! I would love to see more pics of them--are they all alike?

The girls are going to have a blast sewing!!! And how sweet of your nephew to think of them when he saw the machines. :)

Chele 05-02-2009 05:05 PM
