this is how I made a quilt with scrappy stars.

Bobbinchick 02-04-2011 09:13 AM

Wow! that is a pretty quilt. I'll have to try making one like that. How big are your diamond shapes? and how large did you cut the triangles for the corners? I'm going ot be planning ot make another big one for my bed in the near future. I love lone stars. My sister is trying one also and yse I did use the tute that ladyinred posted and made my toppers. I could make 4 of them and put them together and make a nice big lap quilt to cuddle up in and read my kindle. It does get cold here at night, but not too bad in the day time. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

It is called starlight express out of the book called jelly roll quilts by Pam & Nicky Lintott

jdiane318 02-04-2011 05:21 PM

Beautiful quilts, you have a magic touch with color and it shows.

bamamama 02-04-2011 05:24 PM

Nice job. I tried a lonestar once and the center looked like a bra cup! What's the secret?

Bobbinchick 02-04-2011 05:28 PM

The edges need to be comnpletely straight when you square it up amd I have a time of it once inna while as I have to take out a few stitches from the very center and adjust a little bit and it doesn't always match up right, but at least it looks fairly good now. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay
