Effectively a visual diary of your year. Very nice. Any close-ups?

This is wonderful! I too would love to see some close ups and maybe you can feature a block or two and tell us what happened that you chose that fabric. And do please share a few more details about it like the size of the circles and squares and what method you chose for applique (fused or turned, hand or machine, or is this reverse applique etc). so far, it seems the responses are very curious about your beautiful quilt and I have to agree what a neat block a day challenge.
I love circle quilts like this! I have made one so far but the blocks were larger so I only had to put together 110. But my DH loved it so much he asked me to create a second one so I think I have enough circles appliqued to squares, I just have to get it laid out and sewn together. Here is a link to mine if you would like to look: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...c-t207883.html |
That is quite an accomplishment, you can be proud.

That was a unique idea, and how much fun it will be to review the year--years from now. I did that in diary form, including the foods we ate when we were fortunate to travel to Europe and today it calls up such fond memories.
