Here is mine , so far. I am missing some points... thought I was being very careful... these little 3 inch blocks are a challenge.
Thanks for looking.

ontheriver 04-22-2016 12:17 PM

I think your blocks look great. I thought about joining and tried a couple of blocks but was too small for my patience level at the time. I applaud your tenacity, keep up the good work.

QUILTNMO 04-22-2016 12:34 PM

very nice like the colors!!!

Snooze2978 04-22-2016 12:35 PM

I've been collecting the blocks but have yet to start. 3" blocks do not turn my head any.

ManiacQuilter2 04-22-2016 12:35 PM

Any 3" block is a challenge. I am not a member of Facebook.

DJ 04-22-2016 12:49 PM

Fabulous! Just love the colors.

Tartan 04-22-2016 12:51 PM

Looks neat but a lot of work!

oksewglad 04-22-2016 01:37 PM

Wow....Looks sew great and kudos to you for keeping up...alas I'm behind and envious of your progress....

RainyBC 04-22-2016 02:02 PM

Just beautiful! Congratulations on taking up the challenge.

QM 04-22-2016 02:04 PM

You are doing really well with this challenge.

busy fingers 04-22-2016 02:23 PM

A great effort with lovely results.

LindaMRB 04-22-2016 02:48 PM

Wonderful! So far all I've done is download the pdfs of the squares . . .

quiltinghere 04-22-2016 02:58 PM

I'm collecting the patterns also. After I finish the block of the month I'm working on, I will start this one.

Looks GREAT!

Nancy

Maureen NJ 04-22-2016 05:11 PM

Your quilt is beautiful! You are definitely patient.

lynnie 04-22-2016 05:27 PM

it's looking great so far!!

gingerd 04-23-2016 04:10 AM

Your quilt top looks great! I had thought about starting this but was afraid with working I wouldn't be able to keep up with it!

Please continue to update us on your process.

Dina 04-23-2016 05:12 AM

That is beautiful!!! And obviously a LOT of work. You have to feel good about this quilt...and quit thinking about the points you aren't happy with. Think of all the points you ARE happy with. There are lots.

Dina

Yooper32 04-23-2016 05:58 AM

You go, girl! As for me, I find a 6" block to be way too small for my liking.

BrendaK 04-23-2016 06:26 AM

Have all the block patterns so far, but have not started putting them together. Yours is lovely. BrendaK

amyjo 04-23-2016 06:51 AM

I would have to make them larger than 3 in. if I was to make them. Beyond my patience level.

Jordan 04-23-2016 07:15 AM

Very pretty and looks like a very tedious job. You did a wonderful job.

retiredteacher09 04-23-2016 03:09 PM

Congratulations on staying with the challenge! Soon you will be 1/3 rd of the way through the year.

I am saving all of the block patterns. I did the January blocks and a few in February and March according to the directions. My original plan was to use them just for ideas and probably enlarge them. I may still go back and do that although I know I will end up with a variety of sizes of blocks because the number of pieces in each one varies. I'm glad to see more 6" blocks now.

I love to read the history of the blocks and am very grateful to the creator of the challenge.

Looks great. I've been saving the patterns. Am trying to get some UFO's finished so I can start something interesting like this. Love your color choices.

Merrylin 04-23-2016 05:30 PM

That is wonderful! You are doing a great job with those 3" blocks.

franc36 04-23-2016 05:31 PM

Your block, so far, is absolutely gorgeous! You have done an outstanding job! I, too, am making the blocks, but mine does not look nearly as good as yours. I thought the six inch blocks would be easier. Wrong! Yesterday's block was made up of four three inch blocks. At least, today's block was somewhat easier. Keep up the awesome work!

Mariposa 04-23-2016 08:08 PM

Looking good!! Nice work, and great colors! :)

AUQuilter 04-24-2016 01:41 AM

Sure is looking good! Keep going and keep us posted.

quilterpurpledog 04-24-2016 02:27 AM

Interesting kind of challenge. I really like your colors and those blocks are so pretty. As I look at the calendar you are about 1/3 of the way to finished. I wish you continued success because what you have done so far is really nice. Keep posting your progress.

twinkie 04-24-2016 03:44 AM

Very nice looking quilt.

ctyankee 04-24-2016 04:06 AM

Great job on that challenge! I've printed out most of the blocks, but not all. Some did not appeal to me at all, so I'm hoping to substitute a different block for them. I haven't started sewing yet, so who knows if that will ever happen. Also, I'm planning on a scrappy quilt. Time will tell. But your quilt is looking mighty fine!

Karamarie 04-24-2016 04:37 AM

Very nice - 3 inch blocks, whew -- you did great.

Sew Freak 04-24-2016 05:35 AM

Very nice so far!!! This is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay above my challenge rate....LOL.... but I have downloaded the files and I'm thinking about doing only the ones I really like in a bigger size per square.

RST 04-24-2016 09:38 AM

I'm doing it too, and keeping up.

One of the rules I made for myself starting, which has helped me to keep up, is that I do not rip out seams and redo blocks, even if I make a weird inversion or have a blunted point. I figure that with a quilt this busy, being super persnikkity about tiny variantions simply won't pay off. Plus which, it's symbolic. For a block a day, there are going to be some blocks/days that just don't go as planned or which aren't my favorite. So far, I've only "cheated" / substituted a technique on one block -- that wretched 6 inch block with 18 mitres -- so not my thing.

Your photo looks great. Are you adding more colors with each additional round of blocks, or are you sticking with the established color scheme? So many decisions.

notmorecraft 04-24-2016 10:35 AM

I am only at 21st January, I need to seriously spend some time doing this to catch up.

MargeD 04-24-2016 12:13 PM

I admire your tenacity to make such tiny blocks, it's a great quilt. I can admire it, but I'm afraid I could never make one, blocks are too small.

dirty1mom 04-25-2016 11:16 AM

Good Job!!!! I am stuck at the end of Feb. Haven't had time to work on them. I have printed all the days though so I hope to get caught up eventually.

Clmay 04-25-2016 07:58 PM

That is just beautiful!

Grandma Peg 04-25-2016 08:20 PM

Great job. Sounds hard but you are nailing it.
