Beautiful scrap quilt! I wonder if you sew those pieces to each other or if you use a lightweight cotton or muslin and sew the scraps to that first and then cut out the squares?? The pattern is such a great way to use your scraps.

Beautiful!

Beautiful!!! Love the colors and the shashing you used for the blocks, it really sets it off.

I am pretty sure that scraps have panic attacks when you start using them and they start reproducing! I love making scrappy quilts and I never seem to run out ...
By the way, that is a beautiful quilt! |
I love the scrappy. The blue fabric looks really nice with all those scraps. Love it.

Top #4 completed. Just string blocks. It is 70 x 93. Pic is not real good due to light coming in my windows. Cant see bottom border too much as it is lying on the floor but you get the idea. My scrap bins do not appear to have been depleted any, so on to #5. Also a pic of U of Alabama wallhanging I have been working on, added a few more of the applique pieces so the elephant is all done. Now deciding on borders for it. Will probably go to a son who is a fan.

Thank you all for such wonderful comments. Yes I am time traveling- 3013 (LOL). no really, I just cant type. Raine, bookmark away. For those who asked how it was made, it is just a string quilt on foundation. I cut squares of an old sheet to use as foundation. The only thing planned was the blue fabric that tied it together. I bought yards of it at a garage sale several years ago really cheap. I cut the blue into the same width strips, 2 inche, and started my blocks with that going through the center of the block on the diag. Then I just sewed different strips to each side until the foundation was covered. I squared the block trying to make sure the blue was centered as much as possible then sewed the blocks together.
