Ooooh, pretty colours, very nice. I did mine in blue, I posted the pics on the main board, but I suppose I should put them here too?
Don't forget to re draw the stitching ling when you need to add another app. patch over these ones (see below) [ATTACH=CONFIG]171277[/ATTACH] I would normally cut behind all my patches if possible, but I didn't on this occasion, because it wasn't always obvious where my stitching was, so this time, I left well alone. [ATTACH=CONFIG]171278[/ATTACH] With the little tiny heart embroidery in the centre, stem stitch would have not kept the shape nice, so in this instance, I back stitched them with quite small stitches [ATTACH=CONFIG]171279[/ATTACH] |
I just stumbled upon these blocks, they're beautiful! is it a special project ? also where are the patterns available? and if you've already given this info I apologize.

Both blocks are great...Lesley, thanks again for all the detailed shots. I was scared when I started this one..but it turned out not to be all that hard, just more time consuming.

HERE IS MY COMPLETED BLOCK 14. I DID THE RANDOM COLORS LIKE SHOWN IN THE BOOK. BUT I THINK I LIKE THE OTHER STYLE BETTER, I MIGHT JUST REDO THIS BLOCK LATER IF I HAVE TIME.

Lynnie, that is beautiful. I really like this piece when it has tons of different fabrics in it. Great job. I'm impressed, you did those little tiny hearts in the center. I wasn't even brave enough to try to embroider those.

Yes i saw the one where she was having trouble and thought it was perhaps her first attempt so offered some advice, then I click on all the lovelies that she had just posted and made a really beautiful job of them.

Lesley and Elle, I've seen Lynnie make blocks like there is no tomorrow! She is a machine and will far outrun us all! She did the Chicken swap, completed a funky cat quilt, is working on a funky dog quilt and I'm hoping playing in the funky cat swap..and now this quilt. I have no idea what else she is working on...but a MACHINE I tell ya'...just a MACHINE! |
