Beautiful quilts, I like them both. We have 2 wire fox terries, and they are so similar to the airdales. I love them too.
Love them both, but I'm a dog lover!
Kathy, your a very experence quilter, the scalloped boarder is terrific............do you want to adopt me? calla/Sue
I love your quilts. My neice is an Airedale (Annie Grin) and she is soooooooooo much fun. Very energetic and happy, happy, happy! Wish I was as talented as you to make her a quilt!
How darling both quilts are... The receipt from your donation was outstanding and well deserved.
I love them, great quilts.
When I was growing up we always had an airdale. So 2. They live forever and can blow any other dog, including labs, out of the water (pun intended lol). What a great idea! I have the stairway pattern. I'm gonna have to think what I use. Maybe something besides cats. Still have my Storm at sea on back burner to finish.
Very Nice Kathy I like the second one
Just found these while looking for the daisy quilt that you made. These are wonderful!!!!!!! You're a very talented Lady!
Isn't it great when our talents can raise money too. Congratulations on the Big Bucks for your charity. |
Beautiful quilts! I bought the pattern for the first one!
Beautiful work and great subject matter! My grandparents had airedales. Great dogs!
cute!
I would like to join this club! I love to do needle turn appliqué. I just like the way the finished product looks, it's very relaxing and very portable. I'm ready to have fun girls!!! Let's go!!
very nice, I really enjoyed seeing them. Your pic of your dogs is cute.
I had an airdale baby...her name was Saracen Ursa..or Sara Bear. I loved her so...she sadly passed away from kidney failure. One day I will have another. You can't have just one. =) Thanks for sharing your pretties.
both quilts are darling - and your work is superb. That border is candy for the eye. wow!
Gosh, I'm just speechless...so clever, so charming, so well done! You're work is really creative and well crafted! Such a blessing for others.
Beautiful. Now I have tears on my keyboard Thank you
for sharing and making so much $ for rescues. |
Love them both! are the dogs appliqed?
Some quilts stop you in your tracks because of their beauty, others because of their craftsmanship, and the rare ones, because they touch your heart. Your 'Stairway to Heaven - Airdale Quilt' does all 3. This is only the second quilt that has made me tear up, and get a lump in my throat.
God bless you for donating your time and skills to help others. Millstream Mom - fortunate to be 'owned' by Eddie (Cairn Terrier) and Roxie (deaf boxer - saved by a local rescue organization) :) |
Soooooo Cute!!!

Love them both, miss my Airedales. I have a Maltipoo now, he is 11 months and named Peppi. He loves his new winter coat I made him, he just didn't like the store bought boy coats with the wrapped legs.
I was referring to KathyAires quilts.. |
How cute!

Sorry, my reply was to go on the do you have a dog page, not sure how I got here.. I"m still figuring this thing out..
Wow! Both are soooooo beautiful.
That is adorable!!!
Airdale Rescue really needs you and appreciate you. My Jack was a rescue. He had been kept in a wire cage that he outgrew. When we got him he was terrible underweight and had to go to the vet for leg muscle problems. He got over it but was always kind of stiff walking. Didn't stop him, he treed squirrels on a regular basis. His top weight was 85#, he lived to be 12 and is still well loved in airdale heaven.
Really cute~!
They are both not only beautiful but adorable as well and I am sure the Rescue organization was thrilled with that donation.
Love them Kathy! Thank you.

'Hearts & Dales' is from Fons & Porter magazine. It was called 'I Wooly Love Ewe' and featured sheep. Again, I enlarged it to queen size and used my beloved Airedales rather than sheep. I've had it about a year now and I haven't been able to let go of it, yet. I'm sure that I will donate it to Airedale Rescue in the future. I do make quilts other than Airedales but they aren't as interesting. |
$1,230.00. WOW but worth every penny, well done you.

 ...great thought...yah..all of our quilts are special/beautiful whatever...but the ones that seem to warm the heart and most 'interesting' are ones that focus on the critters that fill our hearts and lives w/so much love.... these are wonderful quilts!!!!! |
Aww those are so cute! I love them! You did a great job!
I am glad your quilt raised so much money! It is a work of art. They are both beautiful!! You do beautiful work. I would have a hard time parting with either quilt!
 :-D  |
Those are really great. I had the pattern title wrong, you are right it is Stairway to Cat Heaven. I bought the pattern from McCalls. Love that you can substitute almost anything.
These are so nice, I miss my Jack (a rescue airdale) and he's been gone 9 years.

WOW X 10,000!
What beautiful quilts for a beautiful cause! These quilts made me smile from ear to ear. Not only are they beautiful, but they are originals! No one will EVER have one like them given you customize the patterns! Great work!! You must have a great love for this breed as you give SO much back to the less fortunate ones by sharing your craft to raise funds for them! Awesome.. simply awesome... |
