Bless you for quilting through two layers of batting, not something easy to do. A dear friend asked me to quilt her sister's baby quilt, which had fluffy poly batting. I'd just read an article on quilting with quilting tacks, instead of tying-I think I used stars or something similar, it worked, but it's something I don't want to do again, as the batting was so thick. Her sister loved it and even gave me several 1/2 yard cuts of fabric as I had refused payment.

Thanks all for the kind words. It was a challenge to say the least. It was also my 1st and probably last quilt of it's kind.

Nice tshirt quilt.

Very very nice and probably treasured greatly, but I agree never again.

You did a beautiful job. Looks like a beast to quilt. I can see why you named it your "never again" quilt! The backing is gorgeous fabric.

I made a T-Shirt quilt top only for a lady from her son's shirts she has me if I wanted to quilt it for her, NO way it was a queen size and very heavy also. If GOD does not change my mind I will not do another one. It's not my cup of tea so to speak, with the good stabilizer on it to keep from stretching they are very very warm. |
I may be taking back what I said. It's suppose to get pretty cool here in the Gulf region. Got pretty cool last night and not suppose to get above the low 60s with lows in low 40s this week. Thinking more how I may want one a little heavier than most down here. I have become such a panty waist in the last few years. Being on blood thinners doesn't help.
