I have started buying "collecting" men's shirts from the charity shops recently in readiness to start a quilt with a sea dide feel to it. Living in Cornwall the sea is always close by. I have gone for mostly blue checks and will use off white/ivory to give a "cottage", sun lounge feel. Many plans in my head, we will see how I get on.
Paper Princess--now I see the pockets. Thanks for sharing. My 9 yo GD and I just sewed a simple quilt with her GGpa's shirts; mostly plaids. We tied it and gave it to my SIL. Naturally made her cry to have this part of her dad with her. Made GD feel good to give of herself too. |

I love, love your quilt. I am collecting fabric from mens shirts found at thrift stores. I am kind of picky but there are a lot of nice fabrics in shirts out there in Goodwill, Salvation Army and thrift stores. Thanks for posting.
