Ya know, I haven't thought about that.....that's an idea...but if you can put together a 1/2 square you can make these stars quick and easy....this pattern can be used for different star patterns....
have you had a chance to start your block yet....It would be nice to see everyone making stars------wouldnt it? :P

I'm a visual person, so still trying to picture how to do this in my mind. Thats why I asked if you'd thought of a tutorial. When I see something being made my brain goes into overtime and all kinds of ideas pop up
