gabapentin-I have tried all the trendy expensive one-they made me sicker than I was. This one helps the pain and I actually sleep now.I am up moving around again.I need that so I can avoid insulin shots for the diabetes.Fibro and diabetes is a bad combo.I feel better than I have in a long time-still not like before fibro.

So glad you found some medication to get you back into the quilting game again - it's such a healing activity. Love this scrap quilt!!! Onward and through the UFO stacks ...!

Beautiful top. I know what you mean...I have sooooo many UFOs. This week my DH and I and our little furball, Lucie are going south, only 400 miles, but it is south for us. We have rented and apt there on a short lease and we will be near our DD who will be giving birth this week. I will be able to sew, sew, sew. I am so excited....we have been caring for our DGKs for 5 yrs...and their mother for 4, we are leaving her in our home and with the kids and taking off. I hope I can make a quilt as lovely colors as you have made...

Crqltr 04-01-2012 12:06 PM

Glad you are better..constant pain is not fun to live with. Your quilt is lovely! Here's the problem...if three years in a basket is bad, I am in real trouble!!

JC I take it too[gabapenten] for Arthritis. It does help you sleep. Also called neurontin. It does work also for burning feet etc. I meant to tell you I'm glad you're doing better and I like your quilt a lot.

cindy4857 04-01-2012 03:23 PM

what a wonderfully beautiful quilt. I love the way you finished it. It took a simple pattern and turned it into a real keepsake quilt. Love it.

valleyquiltermo 04-01-2012 03:33 PM

Wolph33 you get those kings out and quilt them I bet they are lovely quilts.

sandybuttons 04-01-2012 04:08 PM

Glad you feel better, love your quilt :)

Jingle 04-01-2012 05:53 PM

Beautiful quilt, I have used strips like yours, almost see strips in my sleep. Being creative is not me when it comes to using scraps. I may take a break and use fabrics I want to use. Scraps just seem to multiply.
I am so glad you are feeling better and can return to quilt making and quilting.

audsgirl 04-01-2012 08:05 PM

It looks great, and I love the quilting pattern you used! It adds lots of interest, but doesn't overpower the quilt. Terrific!

I used this a few years ago for arthritis pain. I just recently found out that it is also used to treat siezures. They did a show on Dr Oz and anti seizure drugs were working on a lot of fibro patients. Good luck and I'm very happy for your success.

justlooking 04-02-2012 10:42 AM

Very Pretty!!!

mollybluebonnet 04-03-2012 05:46 AM

So happy that you are able to quilt again - even with health problems. I too am able to quilt again with medication and joint replacement surgeries due to osteo and rheumatoid arthritis issues. Remember to pace your self and try not to over do too much.

Kelela 04-03-2012 07:11 AM

So glad you are able to quilt again. I have a sister and sister-in-law who both have "fibro" so understand how difficult that disease be. Your quilt is very pretty. Kelela

SUZAG 04-03-2012 08:09 AM
