The picture is very true to the green. And a nice match to the blinds in my spare bedroom completely by chance.

I just finished reading the article and ran up to get one of the other two quilts I have that she did. Same sorts of colours but this one is hexagons in the entirety and has the hexagonal edges mentioned in the article! It is so nice to know more about all of these things I have. (sorry the colour and background aren't a goo but it is evening and there is very poor light in my bedroom so I had to resort to the kitchen)

Reminds of a form of Grandmothers Flower Garden but have no idea if that even comes close to what your pattern is. :)

That pattern is called morning star and in Texas we call it a Texas star. Kate

Beautiful quilt! I have always known it as texas star pattern.
