My new favorite quilt. Made for my dh's coworker. Hope she likes it :)

QuiltnCowgirl 01-01-2011 06:11 PM

WOW! I love it! Is this a design of your own or did you use a pattern? Definitely one I am bookmarking.

KathyAire 01-01-2011 06:14 PM

Don't know if coworker will like it, but I love it. Great job.

I bought the kit that included the pattern. I am hoping to get it put together fairly soon. Was it an easy and fast one to piece?

Cyn 01-01-2011 06:53 PM

Beautiful!

It was quick and easy. Matching the seams was the most difficult part. I got color ideas by using google images and typing argyle and pink. It was an easy way to pick the colors. I was worried about the brown on brown but there was enough contrast that it came out okay. Picking fabrics is very difficult for me. I may make a brown and light blue one next.

I love it. I have the pattern too, but haven't gotten around to it yet. :) Pretty quilt!

Ladyjanedoe 01-01-2011 07:08 PM

That's very similar to one I have been working on all weekend:

Mine is pink , gray, and white. I seriously considered a color scheme like yours!

Very nice :)

My middle son just told me over Christmas how much he loves argyle socks ( I do too). I used to buy my kids socks long after their teens but he is a professional now and I have no idea what he wears :)

Is that an actual sashing inbetween each block or something you put over the seams?

hopetoquilt 01-02-2011 05:01 AM

It is a 1 inch sashing before sewing.

Kitsapquilter 01-02-2011 05:03 AM

WOW! The material and pattern are laying out by the cutting board! I bought the pattern at the Houston Show and am making them for my darling SIL's. It's great to see how it really works up.

Congrats on a beautiful quilt!!
