Wow!
Mini LQS. Unbelieveable! I have a 35 yo daughter that needs to move out with her 6 cats. She requires very little space, a fridge, stove, micro., bathroom, bedroom, and a space for her cats. She will keep the house clean and tidy as well as the yard. Sure you don't want to hire her to watch your place for you? I would visit her often and check on things. And, for quality control, I would invite some other folks over I know to help check on things... |
And again --wow omg wow!
Is the house sold yet? Maybe it's time for DH and I to move to Texas.
I know you'll miss this room, but what an adventure to move for awhile! When you come back, you can replicate the room and even add some more great touches! Be safe and enjoy the adventure!
Are you moving all of this or putting in storage ? OR are you giving it to your QB friends ?????
WHAT a stash ! Thanks for sharing. |
Your room is wonderful. Sorry you have to give it up. Enjoy your time in Saudi Arbia.
OMG what a great sewing room and stash. Are you going to be able to take all your stash with you when you move? I sure hope so.
OMG! What a dream stash!
This is so totally awesome and what I wouldn't give to have that big sewing room! Your storage system/bins resemble my sewing room a great deal however mine is much smaller and more crowded... I live in Houston and almost wish I could sell my house and buy yours, but alas, my daughter would have to drive too far to work in Cypress/Fairbanks, lol.

My goodness, why in the world are you moving to Saudi Arabia and giving up your gorgeous sewing room? Beautiful!!
You have my heartfelt sympathy - what a thing of beauty to lose.
What are you doing with all of your gorgeous stash while you are there? Is it going with you? You could probably pay for your trip seeling the stash! I thought I had a lot...but you do me proud. I could just walk around in your room PETTING the fabrics and I would be so content. When life gets tough, just think about the bounties we have here in the states. We are so blessed. Good luck with your move. Keep in touch with us.
Wow!
I would hate to move away from that room. Good luck with your travels. |
not sure if I could choose between hubby and my sewing room. I just might tell him I'll be waiting for you when you come home.
You know the conversation we have all had about what we would do if we won the lottery??? Well the stash you have is exactly what I describe as my stash when I win the big one. AWESOME!!!
Wow......speechless! And I can't imagine leaving this for something smaller......
Thank you for sharing the photos of your dream space. The time you spend in Saudi Arabia will give you all new perspectives on life, cultues and beauty. Perhaps these experiences will transfer in to your artistry, your quilts.
wow and its so neat
Hope the move goes well. I would have a real problem with giving that up!
Holy cow, that is amazing.
On the bright side, a new-ish member of our guild just relocated here from Saudi Arabia, having spent close to 20 yrs. there. While there, she was a member of a fiber arts (I think) group and has shared some of the work they did. It is amazing. Hopefully you will be able to find a similar group. |
I don't know how you could possibly give that up!! Good luck in Saudi Arabia.
What a fabulous room to give up. Hope your new place has the same accommodations or close to it. Good Luck on your move!
and I thought I had a huge stash! I know you will miss that fantastic room...I hope a quilter buys your home!
wonderful space
Are you SURE you want to go with your hubby? I think I would consider staying in the house!!! LOL Just kidding....of course you will go with DH! Your sewing room looks like a store - fabulous!
I am in shock --but a friend of mine has lived in many countries and her favorite was Saudi A. Says fabric prices are great. Please keep on the QBd and let us know what quilting experiences you have there.
That is INCREDIBLE!!!!!! I LOVE your space! I would have to stay behind! ;) Just joking. Love your room and wish I had one like that! It's amazing.
Are you taking your fabric with you when you go or will you have to store it all? |
I can't get my jaw up off the floor after looking at you pics. I can't even imagine having a stash that large. I know I could never afford it and my husband would have a coronary. Hate that you have to leave your babies, even for a couple of years. I'm sure you will be shedding many tears of grief. I certianly would. Hugs as you go on a new adventure.
OMG, WOW I really would love that room, why not a quilter when you get back?
Oh alll I can add is ditto to everyones comments
Been right were you are now. Spent a few years over seas and was so happy to get back to our home and all the goodies I left behind. It will be a nice experience for you I also brought things to work on but found I had very littel time. The social life overseas is so busy. Everyone gets pretty close and you make life long friends.
Gorgeous! looking forward to pics of your next sewing room!
OMG..... What a gorgeous space and that stash...WOW!
Will you be able to keep us informed on how you are doing over there and what you are sewing??? God Bless You!!!
omg, you have a dream sewing room. it does look like a lqs. i'm envious. good luck in sa.
What a fabulous room! Could you let me babysit the house while you are away? :) I am sure there would be lots of things I could do to keep me busy while drooling over your stash. Nod, nod, wink, wink.
You will love the middle east! I love their food, authenic, not the stuff we get here in the USA. Material is less expensive and if you get to Dubai you will have to hire a ship to bring back all the material! I purchased my embrodiery machine there, Janome. Paid so little for it! If you need someone to talk to just PM me. I know there are disadvantages but..........

I gave up a nice sewing room last year in November to move in a place that held us on standby till we could find something to hold my quilting room. Well, my dream is coming true this December. It's in a basement, but it has sheet rock walls and it's open, bright and lots of light. So I keep watching for new idea's and I think I just got them from you. Can't wait to unload boxes frorm storage in closent and our storage unit. It will be like a double christmas for me, new place and get to see and touch and see things I haven't in over a year.
This sewing room of yours is truly awesome. |
