When I did mine, I had strips sets left over so I used them in the border. Just an idea. :-D http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-95466-1.htm

That is so very beautiful.
Gorgeous! Just audition different options - your eye will know when it's the right one!

NO BORDER!! It looks perfect the way it is. I used to add borders to everything and now I don't. If you like it, leave it as is. I love the colors and fabrics. It is an incredible quilt.
I love that quilt and that book! I'd go with a couple of very simple and relatively narrow borders.
It needs borders. I think more than one.
Beautiful colors!
Oh, that one is on my to do list - I already have some of the fabrics! Yours is beautiful! If it is for a wall hanging, maybe leave it as it is, it for a small throw, add borders. Either way, it is a lovely quilt.

I like borders on quilts but either way it is beautiful.

Very pretty! I agree too, a border in light color.
Gorgeous quilt! I agree a small dark border with a wider lighter border would finish it beautifully!
Beautiful fabrics. Brings the ocean indoors.
Beautiful.
It's gorgeous! I have a kit for that I need to do too~
Now you have me thinking -- I was going to use it as a wall hanging.
I heard that the DH of a bridge playing buddy of my DH will be going for his first dialysis soon. It makes people very cold. So I think I will make it a lap/throw quilt for him So I'm re-thinking layout Mim |
It's beautiful! I can see 2 borders....the first being the darkest blue you have in it and the 2nd a much larger border and in the blue that's next to the darkest. I do think it needs borders......
Beautiful, a bargello is on my to do list. Hope mine comes out as nice
Great job! I love the bargellos. Trying to get up the nerve here to try one. I did a scrappy bargello but it doesn't look anything like this!
Very pretty!!
Oh my gosh, it's stunning. I love it. I can't wait to get my fabric to do mine.
Love it great job

I think it needs a border to stop the eye. Just a plain border, light blue or something similar. :D
I am going to try to make a pink breast cancer ribbon bargello. I need 21 pink fabrics from light to dark. I hope I can find enough different pinks. I have tried to find a selection on the internet, but there are some pinks that look peach when you put them side to side.
I live in a small town I may have to make a trip to a bigger city. I am going to Madison, Wisconsin in September do they sell fabric there? |
Since it is only 40 inches square, I would put both a frame and border. If you want it for a wall hanging, then just put a binding to pop the colors.

WOW that is beautiful.... those are my favorite colors.... I love it as is.
I think a border would really set it off. It is already beautiful, but a border would just sort of frame it.

Awsome, i really like that either way you use it, would have to see border selection, can't visualize what they would look like.

very pretty, you need to add borders to frame it
Do you have a place or use decided for quilt? It looks great without borders, but a border would be a great frame especially if you did a mitred border. Love your colors.

Love those colors. I'm with a darker blue small border. Lay it out and see what you like.
