I am doing a $5 BOM at the Quilt Haus. They are from this book and each month I turn in my block i get one for free. So in essence the 12 blocks will only cost $5.

Very nice room. I have one of those shoe hangers on my bathroom door in here but it's full of hair junk. I could probably through it all out because I don't use it anymore and the thread idea is great. Sould sure keep it from falling on the floor all the time. Great Idea!!!!

sewnsewer2 08-06-2008 12:08 PM

Sew beautiful!!

beachlady 08-06-2008 05:26 PM

bebe 08-06-2008 06:23 PM

Ladies thanks for the compliments. I keep pretty busy with all my BOM's.

Those Biblical blocks are very difficult it takes up to 3 hrs to make 1 block.

I really got a good bargain on the repro. fabric. They are going to be used on my Dear Jane quilt as well as some of the biblical blocks.

bebe 08-06-2008 06:24 PM

Retro girl when is your b'day?

ALl of your blocks are turning out nice. I really like the bibical one, I guess since we have a nun in the family and all.

Bevanger 08-07-2008 04:17 AM

I really like the fabrics & the blocks. It looks like your having loads of fun

Mamagus 08-07-2008 04:22 AM

I thought the hangers were a stroke of genius... what a great way to store WIPs. I hate folding my quilt tops and hanging them in this way would work for me!

I had a shoe bag hung in my classroom for all my odds and ends, and when I retired in June I took it! I think it is the perfect thing to help organize my new sewing room. Clear pockets are wonderful!

ania755 08-07-2008 05:14 AM

  Bebe...The road to California is very nice....You better work on your road to Mexico....

Hey gals thanks for the comps. I am busy sewing all my BOM's and 3 Saturdays a month I have classes, Dear Jane and etc. I keep busy!!
I use the wooden pant hangers to keep my blocks on. They are good because they do not mark or cause creases on your fabric. I buy them at a local thrift store. I keep plenty on hand. I also use them to take my fabric hanging when I have a class or working on a particular project and already washed and pressed the fabric.

On the 21st of this month ny quilting life group at church starts again. Back to teaching ladies how to quilt.

I have several UfO's I am trying to finish. Will post later!!!!

I need to get a digital camera maybe Santa will be good to me :D

jamsbuying 09-02-2009 02:45 PM

Oh my, your quilts are beautiful!

I, too, use a shoe caddy - for my embroidery threads and it works great. I also use those closet hanging sweater shelves - I store fabrics in them in my closet.
