kathdavis 01-25-2011 06:59 PM

OMG! That is so cool.

drose 01-25-2011 07:05 PM

It's from the book Block Bender Quilts by Margaret J.Miller.It's done by taking a regular block using one of her grids to redraw it,enlarge it and on and on and on!I hope someone comes up with a shortcut, otherwise it will take forever!

kajaza 01-25-2011 07:09 PM

very cool!

Oh Wow! That is awesome. How on earth did you manage it? I'd love to get a peak at the pattern.

Dani 01-25-2011 07:34 PM

How cool is that!!!!!!

drose 01-25-2011 07:52 PM

I can only dream of making one of these.I have done most of the basic work. Now I have to redo it all on a bed size quilt.Unless, one of the real quilters come up with a shortcut.

drose 01-25-2011 07:56 PM

There is not pattern. It's done by using a Margret Miller grid.

Iluv2quilt 01-25-2011 08:01 PM

Very unique, a very nice art quilt!

dunster 01-25-2011 08:05 PM

Cool! I like it.

BizzieLizzie 01-26-2011 12:19 AM

Interesting concept. I like the creativity involved in planning this design. Simple straight lines has such a great effect! Well done.

k3n 01-26-2011 02:17 AM

That is intriguing, I love it! I don't think shortcuts whatever they may be could produce the same jawdropping effect. That comes from the wide variation in the angles in each block. You could however draft your own design on paper with a pencil and ruler then paper piece each block - but I'm thinking that's not really a 'shortcut'! Sometimes something beautiful takes effort. :-D

Babs194068 01-26-2011 03:28 AM

I've just been looking at it again - they're intertwined hearts aren't they? I didn't see that at first. :-D
