i think that sounds like a great solution and i can't wait to see it! patience always pays off...especially when you have that much time invested in the quilt top itself.

TOP ONE BUT WITH RED!!!! BEAUTIFUL QUILT!!!

Of the two, I also like the second one. I am also wondering what it would look like to replace the white with the red.

Your quilt is gorgeous!!!

I love the 2nd one...it really makes it complimentary to the quilt! Just love it!

Tell us what you did to fix the waviness of the borders - I can use the help.
Basically I took the borders off. I measured three times to get an accurate size of the quilt and all three times were the same #. OK then I cut my border to size and sewed it on--took me forever as the pieced border is a lot of bias which means I had to ease the pieced border to fit the outter border. Two more to go.
When you cut the pieces for the pieced border, how did you get all sorts of bias edges?

I like the bottom one too.

It is like prairie points--the pieced border. You put the pieces together and trim the sides. Look in a border pattern book if you can. Mine was called beaded border. A lot of work but like the outcome. The cornerstones were constructed differently however to achieve the same look. Pic coming soon of finished top.

Yep that would make more sense to me as well but no one ever accused me of having a lot of sense to begin with. :D

Hi
The quilt is beautiful. I like the first picture.

I agree with two of the other quilters, I really like the red instead of the white square.

The quilt is beautiful!! Do show us more when you have it completed. Love the color combinations, they are so rich!
