Here is a pic of my columbine quilt. I had the purple borders on, but was not really happy with the effect so I changed them to the multicolored green. I hope it's a better change. I like it better, but am not too sure, what do you think?? Here's a pic of the before and after.

Very nice and I like the change. The new border looks much better. Who would have thought the difference it would make?
After, the green print!! Absolutely.
Yep! Like the new border sure makes those petals pop! Nice pattern too, can you tell me where to find it?
when I first looked quickly I thought you had added a brown border & thought how can she think that is better, it's so dark-
Fixed my eyeballs & second glance showed me the printed fabric. The colors blend so well with the flowers in your windows - it's a keeper. |
Oh yes!
green is definitely better
I like the green much better! Nice job.
oh yes, the second one does more. love it!
I agree the green border is better, very pretty.
Your change makes a huge difference. I don't know why, but darker borders almost always seem to be better frames for the artwork inside. Great choice.
The new border is the best in my view :)
I like the green borders better too. Great job!
Oh yes the green. Amazing how a color can change up a quilt !!
I like the after...........one of my favorite flowers...good job
I guess is just depends on what kind of wallpaper you want around your attic windows. haha. Love the green floral.
I agree with everyone else, the second.
Looks lovely! I love it! Isn't it amazing what a color change can mean?
I like them both -
I like the way you changed it. The flowers are more prominent with the multi colored border. It really gives the feel of looking out a window. This is a lovely design and you've done a fantastic job with it.
The green print pops the center... very nice!

Woo Hoo!! I'm so glad everyone agrees with me, I really like how it works with the 3-D windows. Thank you everyone for your opinions!! I wasn't sure as DH helped pick the first one and liked it, but we both think the green border works better too. Again, thank you so much, I can't wait to bring it to my Wednesday sewing group as they haven't seen it put with the attic windows and the border. :-D :-D :-D
