I keep telling myself I need to make some for myself as I heat up soup in the microwave a lot during the winter time. Love your fabric you used. Thanks for the inspiration.

For some reason I don't like the idea of putting fabric in the microwave. Freaks me out. However, I have made them and use them to put the bowl in after the item is microwaved. Makes more sense to me. But, that's just me.

I need to make one of these for my son. At 13 he can microwave for himself, but still wants mom to get his food out of the microwave! We have pitched all the plastic and only use glass so they do get hot. I purchased Wrap-NZap by Pellon at Walmart for the batting which is 100% cotton.

I think that's how I'd use them too - - just seems safer to me.

I have made the rice tubes to heat and put on my neck -- all cotton. I also have one made from fleece that I uses as the pattern and it has worked fine, but I only cook them for a couple of minutes. For Christmas I got a microwave popcorn popper and it does get hot on the bottom so I would like to make on of these to go on the bottom.

I made lots of these at Christmas. Love your fabric!
