I've had 5 danes over the years and they'll eat anything on the table ...butter, cake, etc. He must be a puppy to just touch the side. Best of luck with your schedule. Nice tree skirt.

Thats how my table looks right now. Quilt back with the batting and the spray baste can.

I had to leave for dinner and was a little worried about it and talked myself out of worrying....

Then I see your picture!!!

I feel what you feel! My dog did the same to a quilt that I was working on a few years ago and I had to put it aside for a long time before I could take it out and repair it. Yes, I know that feeling...What's comforting about your tree skirt injury is that it is not the tree skirt itself that is damaged and you have the scope to complete the tree skirt without too much hassle? It is a beautiful tree skirt and thank goodness it is still intact. Best wishes, :) Naughty baby! (To your Great Dane! LOL)

Oh no! But maybe you shouldn't blame the Great Dane after viewing this You Tube post... :

Dogs are smart!! But not as smart as cats. Except for Haley. She's more porcine than feline.

my dog also likes to nibble on batting and yarn, anything made from natural fibers and he is interested!

So funny but your dogs must look like Mutt & Jeff together, one very large and one very small. We have a Shiz Tzu as well.

I was hand quilting on a small frame and I thought my puppies were sleeping...until I discovered that they were on the floor under the quilt removing the batting. I don't know what it is about batting, but dogs really seem to like it. At least your Great Dane didn't try to eat the fabric...at least not yet...

YES, you did get very lucky. Dogs are so much like children but it is so hard to guess what next trouble they will find.
