BQ2 quilt

I saw a BQ2 photo on this forum and kept the picture, hoping to someday make one. I had this lovely poppy fabric and pulled from my stash the coordinating colors. Just needed a black to finish off. I just love it.

I made a BQ (Big Quilt) also, but it took much longer than I thought it would. I found that the pattern seemed to be written backwards. So, after a couple of blocks, I got out the graph paper, made my own block and took off. I wonder if the pattern maker is left handed. Anyone else have this problem?
