I finished this quilted wall hanging yesterday to submit for competition. The horse's name is Willy. He is a famous rodeo horse in these parts.

Great job. Did you use raw edge applique? If so, did you stitch around edges, if so, what stitch did you do? How about all of the little accents?

I would vote 1st place ribbon. I cut each little itty bitty piece and ironed it on. I tried using a variety of colours for all-over quilting. Some swirls, some continuous line quilting. It turned out pretty well but I wished I had more time to work on it. Ahh, the stress of the deadline!! |
