It's such an elegant looking quilt. I'm thinking the 3rd border really does make the blocks look like fine china...and keeps everything looking simple yet sophisticated. LOVELY quilt top!!!!
I like the dark blue border but it just needs something. The silver blue very narrow strip would make it more interesting without detracting from the beautiful blocks.

I would use about a 1 inch inner border of the silver or a white, then a 3-4 inch outer border of the medium blue (that matches the medium blue in the blocks, then a binding in the floral print same as the blocks or the darkest blue. Good luck! Sure is a pretty quilt!
Most definitely the third one!!!
I like the third too.
I would use a very small border of the silver or light blue, then the wider dark blue. Beautiful quilt
I vote #3. This is really pretty. It reminds me of delft plates.
Third one is my favorite.

I'm not too sure about adding a second dark blue border since I have a narrow border to match the sashing. Maybe it would look like an afterthought
You all have such wonderful idea, thanks for you help. |

I belive if you pick a tanish color to accent the shade in the center of each you might be please.
You could also add a small blue boarder after you added the brownish boarder |

Well, maybe I'm odd. But, I would randomly piece leftover (if you have any) Kaleidoscope fabric together and put a border of that on and then put on the final border wider than the pieced one of the navy already in the quilt. Also would use the navy as the binding. Just my thought.
I like 1st then 2nd the best.
#3.

Don't like the white, too stark. Don't like the light blue, doesn't look like it matches. Like the wide dark blue, but seem like it needs something else.

a thin, light strip, followed by a thin gold strip, followed by a royal blue or dark blue strip and then the wide border the same colour as your quilt background. It would be even better if the thin strips could be 'peepers' so that they are folded in half and not sewn down except on the seam. That way they would look like a matt around a framed picture, Just a suggestion. |
Third one for me !!
narrower light color and dark blue.
Sorry and I forgot to say how beautiful your quilt is.

They are so beautiful that they need number three.
#3 the other,,, the other just don't do justice to your beautiful blocks Please remember to show pics when this beauty is finished.
I vote for #3. That's the one.

I vote for #3. But maybe an option is a VERY thin border of the tan/gold in the blocks followed by a wide dark blue border~
If you have more of the fabric you used to make the blocks, I would use that. Plain dark blue would be the other choice.
I like the light blue, then dark blue. Seems to go well with your blocks.
i vote dark blue
