Beautiful quilt - I love Cathedral Windows, and the black really sets off the bright colors.

Those are some BIG quilt inspectors. Mine are much smaller and they look like cats. Yours look like fun, but I'd rather feed mine.

Cathedral Windows is another of my favorite quilts. You did a fantastic Job!!!! How proud you must be.
I was once told that this pattern was the most difficult quilt pattern there was and only the brave should try it. Well when I first tried it I discovered it was not as hard as I thought it would be or maybe the instructions I had were just made much easier. I dove in and made a king size quilt! Now I won't do that again only because it was so heavy that I could hardly handle it. I love your choice of a dark color. If I ever do another one (I did 3 total only the one king). I think the dark color would be a good choice to work with. Julia

Thank you. Two of my quilt inspectors look like cats, too, and one of them looks like a dog ( Toto). I could not feature not sharing my life with animals. They have so much to teach, when we listen to them.

That is SOO pretty, like jewels on black velvet. And I dearly love that multi-colored paisley border. Where in the world did you find that fabric?

super, what a lot of work; if I'd hung a quilt where you did my old pony would have tried to " eat " it !!

Wonderful quilt. I've been toying with the idea of a cathedral quilt for a long while - this may be the boost to finally tackle one. Thanks.

flikkem 06-07-2010 05:35 AM

Beautiful. I'm curious about the weight of your black fabric. Was it a lightweight or regular weight?
