That is a beautiful quilt. Can't beat the quilt inspectors can you?. Mine sit in their basket at the side of the sew machine and wait for treats!!!

Fantastic! The black background & jewel tones are perfect. And a lot of hard work, I know. I am doing a C/W myself. If I get done in this lifetime my family will be very happy.

Love it!!! Tell me more about Eddie's tutorial. I've always loved this pattern but am totally intimidated by it. Is there some new, easier way?

Love the quilt. I have a question, since Cathedral Windows are generally not quilted what did you do to finish it. Did you put batt behind the whole quilt and quilt? Wasn't it difficult to quilt through the window part since the fabric is double several times.

A real beauty and the horses are as well!

I used black regular weight, and as long as I made sure the weave was straight when I cut my original squares, it worked up easily.

OK, I just sandwiched my batting between my outer fabric borders and backing after I attached them to the Windows part. The Windows part had plenty of weight to it without adding batting and backing.
Here is another photo, of the back side, and maybe you can see what I did from this.Hope this helps.

Just go to the tutorials here. I went by Eddie's tutorial, and it was not hard at all.

Thank you. The paisley was just listed as a black paisley online through Joann's. I have not seen any of it since I ordered that, and never have seen any in the local Joann's.

Did two photos, one inside, and one on the fence in daylight.
Of course, the minute I started to photograph, my quilt inspectors came to check everything out.
With a bribe ( a few Frosted Mini-wheats), they agreed that it suits them just fine!
Thanks for looking.
