I finally finished! I started this quilt last year. It is a 5th anniversary gift for my brother and sister-in-law. (It's a little late - 7 mos, their anniversary was in March). It measures 16 x 16.
Thanks for looking! (P.S.-please ignore the stray thread on the back picture  ) |
This is so great. I love the color combination and have yet to tackle this technique (yet:))
I'm sure they'll just love this. |
That is a really beautiful piece! Congratulations on completion!

Wow...that is beautiful!!! What pattern did you use? I did a fairy like that. This is not a great picture.
|
Love that quilt. Was it done with iron on bias. I think someone asked that but I didn't see the response. You did a great job.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone!
I used the iron on bias, after it was on, I stiched it down. Here's a link to the pattern I used, it's the Stained Glass Celtic Cross. There are some beautiful patterns on this site. http://scarlettrose.com/celtic_quilt_patterns_3.html The pattern was twice the size, I reduced it to half. |
You did wonderful work. It is beautiful
|
That is beautiful. I bet they are going to love it. I love the colors, pattern and the quilting.

It just glows! What a great job you did!

I so enjoy you celtic wallhanging and wonder if you have a source that you get your bias tape from. I have been looking for gold to buy bulk and I seem to be at a loss. I can find it in the 11 yard packages but would like to get 50 at a more reasonable price.
once again what a wonderful job you did. |
I love it.
|
Thanks again everyone. I hope they like it!

It's a lovely wallhanging! I would love to do one like that for a friend that is Scot/Irish. Is this a registered pattern or one that you created? And if I may ask ... I would love to know where to find it!
Thanks in advance for any information.. BTW, I am a new quilter and have so enjoyed looking at all the lovely works that many have posted here! roseOfsharon |

Love it!!! You did a great job. I've been wanting to do a celtic design for awhile, but it scares me a little. Great work!!!
|
Good things come to those who wait! That is just stunning.
|
Lucky brother, great job!
|
Thanks again! :D I'm pretty sure they will like it, my SIL likes all things celtic (especially after reading the Outlander books). Their wedding rings are in a celtic design.

Wow, that's awesome. I did a table runner and loved it. I had trouble finding more patterns that were easy enough for a beginner. Thanks for the website.
