Charisma's Chain of Faith

7 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone...I have been gone for a few weeks..Family emergency.
But I am back in the saddle..errrr I mean quilting machine...trying to get ready for our local quilt show. I am the featured quilter.....and I now have dates....June 22-23 Ephrata High school Gym. IN case any of you happen to be in town....I would love to meet you!

This is my own quilt.....and a friend of mine pieced it for me....I just really wanted this quilt for myself...with a couple Blush jelly rolls I have been hoarding....and I loved the pattern..the name of the pattern ect.
It' a free pattern from the moda bake shop.

I wanted to make the chain pop..because I made the mistake of keeping the red stirps in..and they compete to much with the chain..so I thought I could make a difference with the quilting. In the end I love the quilt...red strips and all.... and I love the spiral type flowers...it's the first time I have done those...and I love them! They are fun and cute!

Thanks so much for looking!

WOW! That is incredible. Beautifully done.

Sewfine 05-31-2012 11:34 PM

That is beautiful. Love the red.

katier825 06-01-2012 02:55 AM

That is beautiful! I've wanted to do that pattern, but wasn't sure how to plan out the colors to get the look I want. It looks like all of the corner squares and the 4 square have the same print. Any other recommendations in the color layout now that you've done one?

katydidkg 06-01-2012 03:31 AM

This is a beautiful quilt, colors, fabric and quilting are superb !~

QUILTNMO 06-01-2012 03:33 AM

Is this a judged show? If it is - you will win for sure! Your quilting is outstanding! I love this quilt. Been seeing a lot of teal with red- must be the new thing. There is one in my future, haha. Good luck with the show.

How Beautiful! Saving that fabric was worth it. So glad you get to keep one for yourself! :)

BeckySt 06-01-2012 05:11 AM

Beautiful, I made a quilt out of that jelly roll and I wish it would of made it bigger for my bed as it is one of my favorite fabric lines.

paulettepoe 06-01-2012 05:51 AM

Gurrl....this is so pretty. I gonna do this!!. You are such an inspiration.

Tartan 06-01-2012 05:59 AM

Great quilt and quilting! I am thinking I should have kept my Spiralgraph that I got one Christmas as a child. Think of the quilting design possibilities!

GramaLaura 06-01-2012 06:05 AM

OMGoodness.....another Charisma masterpiece!!! Love the colors, front and back!! You are an awesome quilter :)

sassy granny 06-01-2012 09:34 AM

I love everything about it. The colors are beautiful together and I love the back and the beautiful quilting. A winner for sure in my judgement. Praying everything is ok with the emergency now. I missed you but knowing you have a family there is always somthing you take you away from everyday duties. Glad to see you back with the beautiful quilts to show for your work.

So beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lollygagging 06-01-2012 10:47 AM

I think by keeping the red strips in, it added contrast to your quilt. Have no regrets! Your quilt pattern, color choices and layout as well as your quilting are all beautiful. I wish you great success at your show. Thanks for sharing.

I love the red, too... there's just enough to make it pop! Of course, the spectacular quilting doesn't hurt either... LOL! I've looked at this pattern a couple of times, too, but wasn't sure it would turn out so hot... I stand corrected! This is beautiful! Kudos! And congrats on your quilt show spotlight! Hope all is better in your neck of the woods now. Keep on keepin' on!

I really like the red, it's a nice red and add's a punch to the quilt. I also like your quilting and I to wish I kept my spirograph. I loved it as a kid and I do think I would still love it. grace
