I found some instructions

I did some small projects years ago and my Grams did some, but not recently.
Looks neat. |
Happy, I don't think you are crazy, try one and see how it looks and go from there. I can't believe you got a top for $10.00 what a bargain.

I haven't done this since I was a kid! It was such a good way to teach sewing/cross stitch to a group of 7/8 year old brownie/girl scouts. Of course, our projects certainly weren't as beautiful as your work. I guess I have another thing to put on my "wish list". Thanks for sharing and reminding me of long ago memories.

I remember my grandmother didn't care for my plain clothes. She did the corners on my collars with a small swatch of this appliqued and made it look lacey. SO pretty.

Gosh, its been years since I have thought about Chicken Scratch. Your quilt is going to be beautiful! Somewhere I have a blue apron with Chicken Scratch embroidery around the bottom. Your quilt makes me want to find that apron . Thank you for sharing and bringing good memories back to me.

Great Quilt, love the red and white. What is chicken scratch?:?????
|
Friendly..Chicken Scratch is taking gingham material and # 10 crochet thread and making blocks that comes out looking like lace. If you go to the website pegasusor.com/chicken.htm it will show you how to do it. Sorry I don't know how to put up the website so you can click on it. If you read all the responds one lady posted it. Thank you for the kind words.
