If you haven't seen it already there's a 2011 BOM here on the board that is Houses. There's another one that is Stars.
I'm doing the houses and have come up with a design for it. Of course, I don't know what all the houses will be so I had to use just 12 different ones in this. The only block done is the Church block for January. I'm open to suggestions for design changes and if anyone wants the EQ7 file, I'll send it. This is done in Moda's Luna Notte fabric, I have a FQ set of it. |
That is simply beautiful. If I thought I could make mine as pretty as yours, I would totally be all over it!! You make the most beautiful designs!!
That's so pretty! Wish I could do it, but I don't have EQ:<
beautiful, thanks for sharing with us
Since all of the house patterns will be posted in the BOM thread, and I will be changing the patten to include each one as it is posted, then all that's needed is all the extra parts.
Everything is based on 3", 6", 9", 12", etc. and I've tried to keep in mind ease of piecing sections together, I don't think it will be too hard. I can probably do a pattern just of the extra parts and export it to PDF. That will take quite awhile because I need to print each block to PDF but it's do-able. |
Love your design and the colors, too!! I haven't made my church block yet, but I hope to get to it this weekend! Thanks for the inspiration! I need to play around with my EQ7 so see what I can design.

Beautiful design! Would love to join you, but made the commitment to finish all those UFOs this year! Nearly finished with the first one.
Beautiful!
Lovely pattern!
awesome
I can never get EQ as all I would do is play and make quilt designs and no quilts!
Love your layout. |
Hi from Pa.,
Love your design. Where do you get the different house designs? |
Your design is beautiful.
iT IS SO CUTE = I have EQ 4 and 5 only - wish it would work on those. Can't get 7 but maybe I can transfer some way?

The house BOM is here http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-85213-1.htm
This is January's block http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-86667-1.htm There will be a new block each month. Of course, they won't be what is in my design because I don't know what they will be yet. I'll update the design each month with the actual houses. I don't know if EQ7 is backwards compatible, I'll look it up. |
Shoot, I think you should do the BOM with your designs-they look great!!
Oh man this is really pretty !!
Love your design and layout.

Looks nice!

Cute I like the design. I did one using the BQ pattern and it ended up looking like it had streets between the houses. I like what you have added to make it so interesting.

I love it. I was going to make the blocks- but after seeing the finished one - I'm wondering if it is tooo dificult.
That is so cool that you can program it out before you ever cut it out.
Pam, thats a great house quilt and I don't normally like them...I think its all the "other" blocks added in for interest that makes it more appealing. Great job! I'll have to follow along and BM it for later.
I think this is perfect. It looks like a neighborhood. The checks look like a sidewalk and the arrows look like roads lined with flowers, trees, etc. WOW !!!!
Oh Pam I love this!!!!
I wouldn't mind having the eQ pattern... Love this quilt.. TFS.
That is beautiful.

I did some changes and moving blocks around because when I was figuring up how it needed to be pieced I saw that there was an area that would result in set-in seams.
I have both versions in the EQ7 file but of course, you can change it however you want. There are blocks on layer 1 and 2 so you will need to go to that tab if it's not letting you move something. If you want the file, just PM me your email address. The file is 2MB. |
I really love how you have used the coordinating fabric. I may have to think about that instead of just scrappy.
Thanks for posting. |
Beautiful design. Have EQ7 but haven't played with it yet.
Would love the EQ7 design, maybe it will inspire me. My email is [email protected] |
