Love the quilt!! I have a lot of corduory fabric and was thinking about making a quilt out of it. What size block and seams did you use in yours? I need a way to use up the fabric and I think you just showed me the way...lol I just bought me a LQS and am learning how to make pretty consistant patterns free motion with it. I have a queen-sized quilt to quilt for my grandson and a king-sized quilt to quilt for a paying customer. I made both quilt tops, too. I would post a picture but I don't know how.
It was -18 here last night and I can't even get out any of my doors to get outside. I have snow drifts 5 to 6 ft. deep.

that's really nice! It's a great utility quilt, and made with so much love from family fabrics. That makes it even more special.

I cut the blocks at 5 1/2 inches. They were sewn with 1/4 seams and I pressed the seams open. I used the herringbone stitch to reinforce the seams so they would not separate. The blocks were sewn together in alternating directions so they would reflect the light in different ways. Using so many different types of corduroy was a challenge because some of them were very stretchy. If they got out of "whack" I just trimmed them to the size I wanted or eased them into the next block. Of course some of the corners did not match well, but the herringbone stitch helped to hide the boo boo's.

Pretty, bright colors. A very durable quilt. Kids love taking their quilts with them wherever they go.
