i vote for #2

Dee 07-22-2011 09:05 PM

Both are nice. I like #2

Marie R 07-22-2011 11:25 PM

I think #2 is the best.

Tropical 07-23-2011 01:14 AM

I like them both. #1 is unique for me though because the design shifts and seems to move as I look at it. Not many patterns do that. :)

Gayle 07-23-2011 07:24 AM

I like #2

1 looks phsycodelic.. did i spell that right?

Rann 07-23-2011 08:03 AM

I like 2, 1 makes my eyes go funny.

No. 2

BarbaraSue 07-23-2011 09:08 AM

I like 2, but here's another suggestion; you could turn some of them for a traditional barn raising layout.

buttons 07-23-2011 10:46 AM

I like two

Gerbie 07-23-2011 05:12 PM

Oh like # 1 because of the graduating diamonds.

4EVERquilt 07-23-2011 08:18 PM

I like the second one

Lindsey we know what you mean, but sorry dear it is spelled psychedelic- not trying to be a smarty, but you did ask if you spelled it correctly. That's a tough word. I have a quilt that I have named psychedelic yucca is why I know for sure.

susaninmd 07-24-2011 09:21 AM

I love them both. Option 1 really features the fabrics. The advice of a white center and continuous stripes radiating from the center would also showcase your strips.

Dreaming 07-24-2011 09:29 AM

I like one, two looks kinda blah to me. Just my opinion.

Vivian Ketron 07-24-2011 11:18 AM

I like #2.

javin22 07-24-2011 11:19 AM

The first one makes my eyes hurt. The second one is way more restful.

SnowQuilt 07-24-2011 12:40 PM

I like #1. I agree with trying different ways for the layout, you would be surprised. :)

Marvel 07-24-2011 01:19 PM

Either is very pretty. I like what you done on the first set thou. This is so pretty.

Wow, I love them both; but I think #1 stands out more. Good luck!

szyquilt 07-25-2011 06:26 AM

The other day, I started arranging the blocks on my design wall in the #1 pattern,
when my daughter (who picked #2) walks in the room, looks at the wall, and says, "Mom, I thought we discussed this."

I just had to try it to see and  WOW , it did make my eyes hurt!
I tried option #3 and just really didn't like the look of it either.

So... so much for being daring! It's going to be #2, without the random "scrappy" block look.
I'll post pictures when I get the top done.
Thanks for all your great suggestions!

Winkee 07-25-2011 11:06 AM

#2! #1 makes me dizzy.

I agree! I guess I must have issues too

luvTooQuilt 07-26-2011 07:52 PM

#2.. number one looks weird to me..

colleen1978 07-27-2011 07:13 AM

I like #1 because it looks like it's radiating outward. I would add borders too!

QM 07-27-2011 07:21 AM

I like #2 better, but they both are good. I have done several of these tube quilts and found that I liked playing with the placements when I had the blocks made.

AngieS 07-27-2011 07:23 AM

I really like #1. Very different......looks more illusional. Love it!

Sew Freak 07-27-2011 07:38 AM

just as you have them displayed here in QB I like the top one. However....I can picture the second one with some really nice quilting done in a 'color' thread and possibly have every other plain square done in a different quilt pattern. I think that would be awesome....hence... I would go with the second!!!!

4girlsmimi 07-27-2011 07:49 AM

I really like the lst one. Think it would be an interesting quilt.

quilterguy27 07-29-2011 01:33 PM

Well, there are really very many options you could have with these blocks, but since you only gave us two to choose from I'm going with #1. Good luck!!!

Sierra 07-30-2011 10:38 AM

You might keep trying designs (there are several possibilities) and find one you are SURE is right! Very nice blocks.... lots of ways.... hmmmm.

SUZAG 08-19-2011 07:43 AM

#1 makes me dizzy, really like #2

Nancy Ingham 08-19-2011 07:48 AM

# 2 is my vote!

MoanaWahine 08-19-2011 08:58 AM

There is something about #1 that I love. With that said, I also agree with some of the other opinions that once you have the blocks done, there will be more options that come up.
