#1 Barb

I asked my husband and he said #1! I told him some people say that makes them dizzy and he said, "Yes, I can see that, but it is INTERESTING, the other is so USUAL.
for what its worth......... |
Between these options, I'd definitely say #2. But I also agree that you should just complete the blocks and then play with the layout. You may end up with something that you didn't even think of to begin with.
I like #1. It is like a hall of mirrors when you look at the center. Cool!

Here's the finished quilt! #2

Thanks for all your suggestions!
I finished the hand quilting on it a few months ago. |
I like #2.
Number 2 for me also. Number 1 makes me kind of dizzy when I look at it. LOL
I agree with sewbizgirl
Beautiful, thanks for sharing.
I think #2 looks more balanced
I love options 1. But then, I like DIFFERENT.
#1 looks like a mirror in a mirror in a mirror... love it! #2 needs a Center Block to make it even prettier!
#1 makes me dizzy! LOVE #2, though.
I love your #1, I started a tube quilt, and my pattern worked out to be a pinwheel. I need to bind it yet.
I like #1 because I think it is more visually interesting.
I like Option 1. Looks like an illusion and it's different. Also like Option 2; it's easier on the eyes.
I like #2 as well. #1 does not seem to "arrive" and I feel like I've gotten lost.
I like #2 the best, but it is your quilt so you do it the way you like.
I really like #1 best. It reminds me of those optical thingys that are supposed to be like what a dragonfly sees.
I like #2. The first one makes me a little dizzy.
You could also make a zigzag quilt, scrappy looking.
I like number 1. As someone else said, number 2 is so standard, but number 1 is very interesting.
I think either could be fine. #2 would give you great open spaces to show off your quilting, if that is what you want to do. The bottom line is it's your quilt and your decision. If I had made those blocks and chosen #1, I might rearrange blocks so that there was a large square on point using the blocks with deep red on the outside, giving an overall unification. Be sure to show us what you decide to do with these blocks.
I like them both! Love the illusion effect they give!
I like # 1

I'm working on a tube quilt and would appreciate your opinion on which layout to use.
These are layouts created with EQ6 software. I scanned samples of the fabric, so these are the blocks I have to work with. The resolution isn't that great, but just trying decide which layout to use. What do you think? I appreciate your help! Option 1 Option 2 |
I like #2 best. The other looks very busy to the eye.
I vote for #2.

Finished Quilt - Option 2

Here's the finished quilt. Thanks for all your help!
I really like this - looks great!
You did a great job! I like the pattern and the color choices!
Of the 2 choices, I vote for #2. But I have made a couple of these quilts with this block, and had all the rows identical, like isolating one-quarter of the quilt, all 4 quadrants facing like same. Try it, you may like it.
I love #2. Beautiful quilt.
I like number 2. I think it looks really nice.
I like the first quilt. It's different.
